Eurovision 2009 - 600 million viewers for Diane Warren

You may already know that Britain (or the United Kingdom, depending on point of view) has been tremendously UNsuccessful in the Eurovision Song Contest in recent years. Last year they came bottom of the 43 entrants. So what can Britain do to sway 600 million viewers?

Diane WarrenThe UK answer is to employ the talents of a woman who has been called the greatest songwriter of all time - and an American!! As it happens, Girls Rock !! have loved Diane Warren for years and followed her career with, well, a combination of respect and glee.

Warren has already penned over 90 top-10 hits and her songs have been sold on more albums than the Beatles, Elton John and Elvis Presley combined. So the British plan is for Warren to work with Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber to write a song for the 2009 UK contestant. Webber has terrific status as a composer for musical theatre, so hopefully the pair will create a winning song.

The Eurovision Song Contest 2009 will be held in the Olympic Indoor Arena in Moscow, Russia, in May. The TV extravaganza usually attracts over 600 million viewers worldwide, even from countries not taking part.
