The girls are winning the battle on the web music sites - by a comfortable margin - and none of the limp metro-sexual males or boring indie bands are anywhere near.

Yes, we do prefer the music of most of the  girls who have dominated the charts over the past few years. But the public agree, big time.

Girls are usually:
No. 1 on the Top 10 Downloads
No. 1 on the Top 10 Singles
No. 1 on the Top 10 Albums
No. 1 on the Top 10 YouTube views

So it was no great surprise when we checked Alexa and found the girls taking the honors. Not only is Britney Spears number one but is also in number four slot, courtesy of the fansite.

As you can see from the list, not a single wimp metro-sexual in sight (Akon, Ne-Yo, West, etc) and none of the tedious, one-note, copycat darlings of the critics (Coldplay et al).
