Girls now the most popular music - official figures show girls dominate all the major charts
In just about every important chart, Girls Rock !! And it’s official. The Nielsen Trend Index shows the girls are winning 6 out of 10 in most Top 10 lists.
For example, Top 10 Albums used to be the preserve of male singers and male bands. But now you will find a very different story. And it’s not that the girls are in the top ten, they are often number one. Recent examples:

Britney Spears
Mariah Carey
Next up, Top 10 Singles have been dominated by the girls for the past year, including a similar list and they all get to No. 1:
