Katy Perry conquers Europe!
In an interview on the Paul O’Grady Show, Katy Perry explained she loves big personalities. In the banter with Paul and Sir Terry Wogan, Katy proved her own personality is both large and appealing.
Katy mentioned a couple of her own idols - Lucille Ball and Freddy Mercury. With examples like that perhaps it is no wonder Katy holds her own in both fun and intelligence. The hot and cold skit with Terry Wogan led to him admitting: “I wouldn’t know what to do with a modern woman.”
Explaining the title of her new album, One Of The Boys, Katy said: “It’s nice to be presentable as a lady, but even better when you can beats boys at their own game.” Go Katy!
And Katy did beat lots of the boys by winning a 2008 Europe Music Award for an impressive set of performances both on and off the stage, as Best New Act.
Katy’s modern combination of coquette and burlesque is both charming and clever. We love her.
